This is a limited edition piece, cut from full-grain water buffalo leather and finished with antique brass hardware. Buffalo Grain Leather
Most bags you'll find at this price are made from corrected leather — sanded smooth, sprayed, and stamped with a fake grain. They look uniform on the shelf and they look tired in a year.
The Roosevelt is cut from full-grain water buffalo leather, the top layer of the hide with nothing sanded away. The grain you see is the grain the animal grew. It runs 1.8 to 2.0 mm thick — substantial in the hand, structured enough to stand on its own, and honest enough to show its history. Scuffs settle in. Edges darken.
