The body is heavyweight 18 oz waxed cotton canvas, water-resistant out of the box and ready to shed rain, snow, and the morning dew off tall grass. The trim, handles, and adjustable shoulder strap are full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. The interior is sherpa-lined to keep your rifle's finish scratch-free. Hammered copper rivets reinforce the high-stress points. The zippers are antique brass YKK.

The headline feature: a unique 9.25-inch case height that accommodates a mounted scope up to 8.25 inches tall. Most rifle cases force you to detach optics before transport or storage. This one doesn't. The rifle goes in with the scope on, sighted-in, ready to shoulder when you reach the stand. Fits rifles up to 50 inches overall length — bolt-action, lever-action, AR-15, semi-auto hunting platforms.

The exterior front zipper pocket holds your license, ID, a few rounds, or a multi-tool. The all-leather adjustable strap clips on for the long carry from truck to stand, includes a sliding shoulder pad, and clips off when the case goes on the rack.

Water-resistant, not waterproof. The 18 oz waxed canvas sheds rain, snow, and dew, but it's not designed for submersion. Re-wax periodically to maintain water resistance.
