Our waxed canvas hooded jackets are mid- to lightweight and lined with soft flannel that’s made from the same cotton as our flannel shirts. The waxed canvas exterior shields you from rain and wind, and the plaid interior adds to the rugged outdoorsman style. 

The waxed canvas exterior includes elastin just the right amount of stretch and comfort – so you can easily wear this jacket while working in the yard or exploring the great outdoors. Trucker Style Waxed Canvas Jackets

Our waxed canvas trucker jacket features a 100% waxed canvas exterior and a soft, poly/cotton blend plaid interior. With double pockets on the sides and chest, you can easily store small essentials like your wallet or keys. An adjustable button-loop waist ensures the perfect fit. (Heads up on the fit though – the trucker jacket is running small, so plan to order one full size larger than you normally would.)

WAXED CANVAS JACKETS: CARE & CLEANING

Waxed canvas jackets are definitely durable, but don’t go throwing them in the washer or dryer. Actually there are a few ways to NOT wash waxed canvas, and if you make those mistakes... well, your waxed canvas jacket will just be... a canvas jacket. So, make note:

DO NOT

• Dry clean 
• Machine wash
• Machine dry
• Use warm or hot water
• Use detergent    

Using any of the above methods will break down the wax coating, compromise the finish and water resistance, and leave you with a plain old canvas jacket - and probably a big mess.

DO THIS INSTEAD

To clean the exterior of your waxed canvas jacket, 

• Lightly scrub away dried mud or dirt with a soft bristled brush 
• Try plain (cold) water before using soap
• Use cold water and a small amount of mild soap (not detergent) when needed
• Rinse away any soap and allow the jacket to air dry    

To clean the interior of the jacket, spot clean with water and mild soap, paying particular attention to the underarms, collar, and cuffs.

This method will allow you to clean away dirt and spots without breaking down the wax coating on the canvas. And remember - don’t wash the waxed canvas exterior very often! Waxed canvas jackets look better the more you use them, and the scuffs and marks they pick up along the way add character. Wash sparingly, and enjoy the adventures.
