Leather Sourcing, Sustainability & Ethical Manufacturing

Our Commitment to Responsible Leather Production

We believe that exceptional leather goods should be crafted with integrity—respecting people, animals, and the environment. Our leather is responsibly sourced and manufactured through trusted partners who meet internationally recognized environmental, chemical, and ethical standards.

This document outlines our approach to leather sourcing, environmental responsibility, chemical safety, and labor practices.

1. Leather Sourcing & Traceability

Our leather is sourced from verified supplierswith a long-standing tradition of leather craftsmanship and regulated manufacturing.

·      Country of Origin: India, Mexico
·      Types of Leather: Cow, buffalo, and sheep leather

We work exclusively with suppliers that follow established traceability and sourcing protocols aligned with international standards.

2. Tannery Certifications & Environmental Standards

To ensure responsible leather processing, we partner with tanneries that undergo independent third-party environmental audits.

Leather Working Group (LWG)

Our leather is sourced from tanneries that hold Gold and Silver ratings from the Leather Working Group (LWG).

The Leather Working Group is the world’s leading organization for assessing the environmental performance of leather manufacturers. LWG audits evaluate: - Water and energy usage
- Chemical management
- Waste handling and emissions
- Traceability of raw hides

These certifications confirm that our leather is produced in facilities meeting rigorous environmental and operational benchmarks.

Audits

Facilities within our supply chain are subject to regular third-party audits, and up-to-date audit documentation is maintained as part of our compliance program.

3. Environmental & Chemical Compliance

We take a careful and responsible approach to leather processing, prioritizing safety, compliance, and reduced environmental impact.

  • REACH Compliance:
All leathers meet EU REACH regulations, ensuring restricted chemicals are within safe limits for consumer products.
  • Chromium VI Testing:
Chrome-tanned leathers are tested for Chromium VI, with results confirming levels remain within internationally accepted safety thresholds.
  • Dyes, Finishes & Chemical Management:
All dyes, finishes, and processing chemicals comply with international safety standards. We use controlled chemical systems from globally recognized leather chemical suppliers, and leather is tested according to established color fastness and performance standards.
  • Water Usage:
Our leather garment production process is designed to minimize water consumption, relying on controlled finishing methods rather than water-intensive washing processes.

4. Labor & Ethical Manufacturing Standards

Ethical manufacturing is a core requirement across our supply chain.

  • Third-Party Social Audits:
Manufacturing facilities within our supply chain are audited under the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) framework or equivalent standards.
  • Labor Conditions:
Audits evaluate fair wages, regulated working hours, worker welfare, and respect for employee rights.
  • No Child or Forced Labor:
Independent audits confirm no child labor or forced labor is permitted or practiced within our audited facilities.
  • Workplace Safety:
Facilities are required to maintain workplace safety policies, emergency procedures, and employee protections, all of which are reviewed during audits.

5. Manufacturing & Operational Overview

Our manufacturing partners operate with modern machinery, standardized production processes, and strict quality controls.

Production oversight spans every stage: - Hide selection
- Tanning and finishing
- Quality inspection
- Final garment manufacturing

This integrated approach ensures consistent quality, material traceability, and compliance with environmental, safety, and ethical standards.

All manufacturing facilities operate under valid government licenses and comply with applicable labor, safety, and environmental regulations.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Sustainability is an ongoing process, not a single certification. We continually review our materials, partners, and practices to ensure we are making responsible choices while crafting leather goods designed to last for years—not seasons.
