Inspired by Richard’s comment, we’ve decided to walk you through our packaging process. We share this with you not to give ourselves a pat on the back, but to let you know that when you buy from us you are getting a product made with precision and purpose. One of the most important things to remember about leather is that it easily scratches. This can be a good thing for the character of the bag when it’s done naturally and over time, but before you get it you don’t want any unnecessary gouges. That means something needs to keep your bag safe while it ships from our store to your house. Enter the drawstring cloth bag. It’s lightweight and loose, perfect for keeping out moisture. Use it as your gift wrapping and call it a day. Yes, it’s just a cloth bag for shipping in, but we’d love to see what other creative uses you can think of using it for!
Do you like getting letters? We do too. That’s why we’ve included a letter from our founder, Xan Hood, in every Buffalo Jackson package. But don’t let the faded paper and the classic typewriter font fool you, this letter is not from 1910. Instead, it outlines the history of Buffalo Jackson Trading Co., tells you about our vision and thanks you for being a part of it.
Our leather and canvas products may be built to last you years, but like all good things, they need some care. That’s why we’ve made to sure to include a canvas and leather care card with every purchase. But if tips and tricks are not enough, don’t fret, we have everything you need in leather care to keep your leather clean and in good condition.

Are you familiar with the poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling? “If” not, don’t worry. We’ve included a copy of it with your purchase. Now you’re probably thinking, poetry for men? But trust us, this poem is chock-full of wisdom. Each of the four stanzas addresses a different life situation and how to best deal with it. You’ll understand what we mean after you read it.
